Bonnie SO Yuen Han (Class 2018), EMBA alumna and NGO scholarship recipient under the HKUST Bilingual EMBA program, was awarded the Chief Executive's Commendation for Community Service from the HKSAR Government in recognition of her contribution to Hong Kong in the fight against COVID-19. The dedication of Bonnie has been an inspiration to many. The Business School takes pride in her being a part of the HKUST community.
As the CEO of the Hong Kong Red Cross, Bonnie has been steering anti-epidemic work in the past three years. The Red Cross has provided essential support to vulnerable groups during the pandemic, including the supply of surgical masks and infection control kits to the elderly and low-income families, emergency provision of food and medicine to people under quarantine, provision of a COVID-19 support hotline, psychological support for people in need, etc.
