The Management Development Program (MDP) is a customized course designed by the Executive Education Office to help HKSAR Government officers gain new knowledge and skills to serve our community.
Part of MDP, the second module on “Leadership and Change Management” was successfully held in March through a hybrid online and offline learning model. Taught by overseas faculty member Professor Jean VANHOEGAERDEN from Ashridge Executive Education, Hult International Business School, the program was the first of its kind held by the Executive Education Office.
While face-to-face programs are important for executive education, the demand for multiple learning options is equally vital to support our clients’ requirements. The new learning model allowed Professor VANHOEGAERDEN to teach remotely throughout the pandemic, and participants could choose to attend lessons virtually or in person.
The learning experience was more effective than most participants anticipated. They also found the module extremely practical and useful for their daily work, especially in learning a new framework to understand the processes of change when implementing changes in their department or bureau.
