Professor Hui Kai Lung from the Department of Information Systems, Business Statistics, and Operations Management, will host the next Executive Education Webinar on 19 July 2017 on the topic of “Blockchain, Bitcoin, and Smart Contract: A General Introduction”
In this webinar, Professor Hui will introduce the technology basics of Blockchain, including how “blocks” are created and data integrity is enhanced through the use of hashing and cryptographic operations. He will also illustrate the concepts with Bitcoin and explain how the “mining” process works to enhance the overall integrity, robustness, and usability of blockchain. The webinar will conclude with a brief introduction to how blockchain is used to support Smart Contracts.
