Led by HKUST Business School Dean Prof. Frederik ANSEEL and Kellogg-HKUST EMBA Program Director Judy AU, participants of the Kellogg-HKUST Executive MBA Program took part in an international residency hosted by Nazarbayev University Graduate School of Business.

Through company visits, executive dialogues, and institutional exchanges, participants engaged with business leaders, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and academics to explore the opportunities and challenges shaping one of Eurasia's most dynamic economies. Discussions covered topics including artificial intelligence adoption, digital ecosystem development, investment strategies, and economic diversification.

Visits to organizations including Nazarbayev University, Astana Hub, the Astana International Financial Centre, Baiterek National Investment Holding, BI Group, Eurasian Resources Group, Halyk Bank, and TechnoGroupService provided valuable insights into the region's evolving business landscape and its growing role in connecting markets across Asia and beyond.

A key takeaway from the residency was that sustainable growth depends on more than investment, technology, or policy support alone. Through interactions with leaders across the public and private sectors, participants gained a deeper appreciation of how talent, trust, innovation, and strategic decision-making contribute to long-term success.

The School extends its sincere appreciation to Nazarbayev University Graduate School of Business and all participating organizations for their openness in sharing insights into the realities of economic transformation and business leadership.
