HKUST Business School was privileged to host the Future of Management Education (FOME) Alliance Management Committee Conference at our Clear Water Bay campus, bringing together leading global institutions at the forefront of innovative business education.

As a global network of innovative business schools, the FOME Alliance brings institutions together to design and deliver immersive online and hybrid learning experiences, with a shared focus on preparing responsible leaders for an interconnected world. Hosting this year’s conference in Hong Kong drew on the city’s strength as a dynamic hub connecting global business talent and perspectives.

Over the two-day conference, partners from across different regions came together to push the boundaries of digital and hybrid education. Discussions tackled the future of learning, the development of future-oriented AI curriculum with Prof. Joon Nak CHOI (below pictured left), and how to effectively scale collaborative online education. Topics such as leading a business school in Asia – with valuable insights from our Dean Frederik ANSEEL (below pictured middle) –and doing business in China, presented by Prof. Cassian CHEUNG (below pictured right), offered global partners a more localized perspective on managing education and navigating the regional business landscape.

Beyond the sessions, we also had the pleasure of introducing our guests to Hong Kong, with curated experiences that offered a closer look at the city’s culture and character— from a historic tram ride to a junk boat trip around Victoria Harbour.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all partners for contributing to such a thoughtful and engaging exchange. We look forward to continuing these conversations and strengthening collaboration at the next FOME Annual Conference hosted by Henley Business School – Africa in South Africa.
