HKUST was delighted to welcome a strong delegation from Chulalongkorn University—Thailand’s oldest and one of its most prestigious institutions—marking an important step forward in deepening academic partnership and regional knowledge exchange.

A key highlight of the visit was the signing of a collaborative agreement between HKUST Business School and Chulalongkorn School of Integrated Innovation (CSII). This partnership aims to advance academic innovation, broaden student mobility, and catalyze cross-disciplinary collaborations that benefit communities across Hong Kong, Thailand, and the broader region.

The agreement was signed by Prof. Frederik ANSEEL, Dean of HKUST Business School, and Prof. Suchada SUKRONG, Executive Director of CSII, and witnessed by the Presidents and senior leadership teams of both universities.

Besides CSII’s leadership team, we also held constructive dialogues with Prof. Tartat MOKKHAMAKKUL, Dean of Chulalongkorn Business School, as well as Prof. Danupon ARIYASAJJAKORN and Prof. Panutat SATCHACHAI, Associate Deans of the Faculty of Economics. Discussions explored themes including entrepreneurial mindset, immersive learning experiences, and new pathways to empower students and faculty through academic exchange.

This strengthened partnership reinforces Hong Kong–Thailand academic connectivity and reflects our shared commitment to nurturing next‑generation leaders who will shape the future of business and society in Asia.
