HKUST and Jebsen Group co-hosted an engaging event centered around the theme - “Smart Logistics and Supply Chain Management” in mid-November. Over 50 industry leaders, HKUST professors, alumni, and Jebsen Scholars got together to discuss current challenges and innovations in supply chain management at Jebsen Group’s headquarters in Causeway Bay. This annual gathering also serves as a testament to Jebsen Group’s ongoing support for HKUST since its founding, including scholarships to some 140 MBA students and many other student groups.

Following Dr. Hans Michael JEBSEN’s (first left) welcome remarks, Prof. HUI Kai-Lung (first right), Acting Dean of HKUST Business School, spoke to the participants, highlighting that the event is especially meaningful, as Dr. Jebsen and the Jebsen Group have been vital and long-time benefactors of HKUST and the Business School.

During the event, Prof. CHEUNG Ki Ling (second left) delivered an insightful speech titled “The Future of Supply Chains: Building Resilience against Global Economic Shifts”, which discussed the need for adaptable strategies in response to global disruptions. Prof. LYU Guodong (second right) followed with a presentation on “Supply Chain Visibility: Impact and Value of Real-time Resource Allocation”, illustrating how real-time data tracking can improve decision-making in supply chains.
