The HKUST MSc in Investment Management (MScIM) Program and MSc in International Management (MIMT) Program were ranked, respectively, Top 1 Masters in Finance Program and Top 5 Masters in Management Program in the Asia Pacific region by the QS World University Rankings 2020. This is the third year running the MScIM program ranks No.1 in the region (top 25 globally).

Offered by the Department of Finance, the part-time MScIM Program was launched in 1996 and joined by its sister program, the MSc in Financial Analysis (MScFA) in 2003. In 2014, the MScIM program was also offered in full-time study mode. This year, in order to broaden the curriculum and facilitate communication with prospective students and employers, these programs are being rolled into a single new MSc in Finance (MFin) Program, retaining the existing popular concentrations in asset management, risk management, fintech, corporate finance, and security analysis.

Followed by the recognition of the “School of the Year” by CEMS in 2016, the HKUST MIMT program is proud to be named the Top 5 Masters in Management program in Asia Pacific region and ranked top 45 globally by the QS 2020 Masters in Management (MIM) Rankings this year. In collaboration with CEMS, which ranked No.8 in this latest MIM Rankings, the one-year MIMT program offers dual qualifications and worldwide network and has nurtured hundreds of graduates, many of whom have taken key roles in the business world.
