The GHG Emissions Calculation and Estimation Tools, co-developed by HKUST and the Green and Sustainable Finance Cross-Agency Steering Group, are a set of free and publicly accessible tools that companies and financial institutions can use as an alternative source of information. The calculation tool enables users, especially small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), to calculate their own GHG emissions based on actual activity levels. The estimation tool enables users, primarily financial institutions, to estimate the GHG emissions of their investees or borrowers where data of underlying companies is limited.
