The annual HKUST Business School International Case Competition 2025 was successfully hosted by the Undergraduate Student Development and Career Services Team. As Asia’s premier platform for students to compete in tackling real-world business problems, this year’s competition brought together 16 teams from Europe, North America, and Asia Pacific for a week-long challenge and experiential learning.
The teams were challenged to formulate strategies to address cases centered on AI applications in fraud detection in the banking sector. The week concluded with a gala dinner in which the winners and participants celebrated their well-deserved achievements.

Close to 100 students actively participated in this year’s program, including contestants and HKUST student ambassadors. Students also engaged in a fireside chat with HSBC senior executives to gain valuable career insights, and joined city excursions to experience Hong Kong’s vibrant culture.
