The School’s BizTalks Series kicked off a new season with an engaging session focused on “Enhancing Efficiency and Motivation in Delivery and Content Creation”. The event saw a strong turnout, with attendees joining both in-person and online.

Prof. LYU Guodong from the Department of Information Systems, Business Statistics and Operations Management presented his research on the Locker Alliance Network, an innovative initiative that aims to enhance last-mile delivery efficiency. Prof. LYU shared insights on how an optimized locker network design can significantly improve delivery operations, stressing the importance of customer adoption and government involvement in maximizing the initiative's potential. Following this, Prof. SHI Mengze from the Department of Marketing examined the impact of incentive schemes on content creation. His findings revealed that transitioning from a uniform commission to a quantity-based commission effectively motivated online writers, resulting in higher quality and quantity of content produced.
