At the four-day MSc Shanghai & Hangzhou Career Trek, 33 MSc students visited ten multinational companies and state-owned enterprises in Shanghai and Hangzhou. These immersive visits provided students with valuable opportunities to engage with organizations, shadow professionals in the workplace, explore various career paths and company cultures, and network with our HKUST alumni.
It was an eye-opener for our students to explore various industries including Big 4, online games, internet, fintech, healthcare, finance, logistics, clean energy, and construction. We sincerely thank our corporate partners – Orient Securities, ByteDance, Shenwan Hongyuan, Johnson & Johnson, Deloitte, Cainiao, Ant Group, NIO, Hilti, and Papergames – for their great assistance.
The career trek culminated in an MSc Corporate & Alumni Mixer in Shanghai, where over 120 alumni, students, and corporate partners exchanged ideas and connected, hopefully leading to future collaborations.
