The Advisory Board for Information Systems Programs (the Board) was formed earlier this year with a view to seeking advice from the industry to update the curriculum and support activities for our BBA in Information Systems, MSc in Information Systems Management, and the upcoming MSc in Information and Cyber Security Management programs. The Board was founded by the Acting Dean of HKUST Business School Prof. HUI Kai-Lung (the then Head of the Department of Information Systems, Business Statistics and Operations Management).
The Board’s inaugural meeting was held on November 18, and attended by 10 high-level executives from technology and accounting firms, including Google Hong Kong, LinkedIn, WeLab, HKAI Lab, Deloitte, KPMG, among others (see the Board’s composition here). Prof. Frank YAM (top right photo, first from right), Founder and CEO of the Focus Strategic Group Limited, has been appointed the Chairperson of the Board. Members’ invaluable insights are greatly appreciated by our faculty members who are dedicated to enhancing the learning experience and quality of respective programs.
