A Warm Welcome to Intake 2024
The DBA Program greeted its fresh cohort with a reception led by Prof. HUI Kai-Lung, Acting Dean of HKUST Business School, and Prof. SHI Mengze, Academic Director of the DBA Program. The new cohort was warmly welcomed by faculty members across various departments and peers from different cohorts.
During the orientation, the new cohort explored various campus facilities, including the HKUST Entrepreneurship Center, where they gained valuable insights into HKUST’s startup landscape and exchanged with representatives from innovative startups.
Demonstrating the Program’s commitment to diversity, the new cohort is comprised of 15 distinguished leaders from seven countries and regions, including new additions such as Singapore, Thailand, and the United Arab Emirates.
DBA Student Recognized for Empowering Women’s Growth
Arsilia ARSYADJULIANDI, a current DBA student from Intake 2022, was recently honored with the SEAN Women Entrepreneurs’ Network Award at the Pinnacle Entrepreneur Forum & Award 2024. In addressing the forum, Arsilia highlighted the significance of fostering the growth of women-owned enterprises and providing opportunities for women within the ASEAN community.
Arsilia has received many awards over the years, including the National Resilient and Inspirational Female Figure - Millennial Category (Awarded by the Ministry of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection of the Republic of Indonesia). Her commitment to empowering women’s growth and her ongoing support for fellow female entrepreneurs mirror HKUST DBA’s dedication to diversity and excellence.
