The digital revolution has been transforming the private sector tremendously, and the revolution is also bringing new benefits to the public sector and government offices. In view of this, the Executive Education Office tailored a two-day Digital Transformation Program (DTP) for HKSAR Government Officers to address this emerging demand on January 5 and 11.
The program comprises five topics:
- Overview of the Digital Transformation and Disruptive Technologies by Professor HUI Kai-lung
- Overview of Big Data & Artificial Intelligence by Professor Jean WANG
- Digital Mindset by Professor KOH Tat Koon
- Leverage Social Media on Public Good by Professor HONG Jiewen
- Compliance Essentials in Digital Transformation by Professor Henry CHANG
A group of 29 middle to senior government officers from five bureaus and departments participated in the first run of the program. To consolidate their learning, they were assigned into groups for an action learning exercise and presentation towards the end of the program.
The participants spoke highly of the program as they benefited a lot from the eye-opening lectures on tech-related ideas and how the public services can be enhanced with innovation, as well as the sharing by colleagues from other departments. All of them indicated that they would recommend this program to other government officers.
