The HKUST Business School signed a partnership agreement with The Hong Kong Institute of Bankers (HKIB) to establish an ECF-Fintech (Professional Level) Program. Based on the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA)'s Enhanced Competence Framework and to fulfil its professional-level qualifications, the program aims to build a strong foundation for the development of Fintech talent locally and in the GBA, thereby contributing to enhancing Hong Kong’s status as a leading international financial hub.

The program consisted of two tracks with seven modules: Regulatory Trends and Data Ethics, Artificial Intelligence and Big Data, Distributed Ledger Technology, Open Banking and Application Programming Interface, Business Strategy and Marketing, Fintech Product Management, and Regtech. Led by Professor HUI Kai Lung, the program will be taught by faculty including Professor Hilton CHAN, Professor Henry CHANG, Professor Theodore CLARK, Professor Allen HUANG, Professor SIU Kam Wing, and Professor Jean WANG, supported by our Executive Education team.

The first module of the ECF-Fintech (Professional Level) Program is to be launched in November 2022. Earlier on, the ECF-Fintech (Core Level) Program has already commenced and the first intake will be completed by the third quarter of this year.
