On February 25, our new season of Layperson Talk Series commenced, showcasing and providing easy accessibility to our insightful faculty research findings.
Entitled “When and How to Promote Our Products,” the first event featured Professor Kai-Lung HUI from the Department of ISOM as he shared his research topic “When Discount Hurts Sales” and Professor Jia LIU from the Department of Marketing presented her research topic “Moment Marketing: A New Tool for Effective Cross-Channel Advertising.” Professor Hui’s research examined the influence of offering deep discounts in the online market, and Professor Liu shared the instant impact of TV advertising and its effectiveness of sponsored search advertising.
