Our financial market is rapidly evolving, opening opportunities for exponential development in digital and green finance. On November 23, Prof TAM Kar Yan, Dean of HKUST Business School, spoke at the panel discussion INSIGHT FORUM organized by Our Hong Kong Foundation (OHKF) on the prospects for a dual-track development of digital and green finance in Hong Kong. Mr Paul CHAN, Financial Secretary of the HKSAR Government, also spoke during the webinar alongside other speakers, including Dr Frank TONG, Managing Partner of QBN Capital, and Mr Water CHEUNG, Board Chair of Carbon Care Asia.

The webinar looked into how Hong Kong can develop as a leading financial hub for digital and green finance, particularly in the digital space. Many countries have also committed to reducing carbon emissions to combat climate change. The importance of developing green finance will identify how Hong Kong can take on an essential role in the process of low-carbon transmission and help businesses accommodate the impact of climate change while actively managing risks.
