On September 24, the grand finale of the prestigious HKUST Business School-HiCore Tech One Million Dollar Entrepreneurship Competition successfully concluded in Beijing.
Organized by the HKUST Business School Mainland Office with support by HiCore Tech – an EMBA alumni enterprise that specializes in online fraud detection – the competition showcased ten finalist teams from China. The competition also included interactive panel discussions, a project roadshow, an entrepreneurship training camp and more to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in Artificial Intelligence (AI).
With preliminary competitions in Shanghai and Chengdu, the top 20 finalists were selected among 300 participating teams across the country. All finalists received RMB 10,000 cash prize and mentorship opportunities from the EMBA alumni enterprises and other venture capital firms.
The grand finale featured an intensive round of 90-second elevator pitch and an inspiring panel discussion on entrepreneurship led by Ms Ye YUAN, Head of Mainland Office, HKUST Business School. A team of jury voted the top three winners and each team received cash prizes based on their ranking.
