HKUST InvestLM Generative AI Platform Launches
Following its development of InvestLM — HK's first open-source large language model for financial generative AI applications, the School has launched the InvestLM GenAI Platform, open for free registration to the financial services industry in phases. HKUST VPAB and Chair Professor of Information Systems Prof. TAM Kar-Yan said the platform will provide an educational and testing venue for enterprises to explore the potential of GenAI solutions. HKMA welcomes the platform’s launch and encourages its usage among banks.
In addition, the project’s research team also introduced the platform to founder and CEO of NVIDIA Dr. Jensen HUANG, who was recently conferred an Honorary Doctorate by HKUST.

Sharing Insights on AI and Bitcoin Developments

In a series of HK Economic Journal commentary articles about crypto developments, Prof. Hui discusses the pricing and demand and supply for Bitcoins (article 1, article 2, article 3), while in an interview with Wenweipo, Assoc.
