Global Business Program - a Sought-after Business Program
HKUST Business School’s Global Business Program (GBUS) is highlighted in Ta Kung Pao, and tkww.hk as a sought-after business program, being ranked 46th in global business management in the Shanghai Ranking. According to a GBUS report, in 2018, over half of the program’s graduates were employed in the financial industry, with employers including Deutsche Bank, J.P. Shedding Light on Entrepreneurship
HK Economic Times published two commentary articles on entrepreneurship-related topics by the School’s faculty. The first article, by Assistant Prof. HUANG Yangguang, Department of Economics, is about the considerations in resources allocation when investing in startups. The second one, by Prof. PENG Qian, Director of Roger King Center for Asian Family Business and Family Office, features the succession stories of three family businesses.

Undergraduate Wins at HKUST x HKSTP Co-Ideation Program (September 13)
Yahoo HK reported that a Quantitative Finance Year-5 undergraduate student, Kelvin TSUI, won HK$130,000 of prize money for his start-up idea of a lunch box rental service at the HKUST x HKSTP Co-Ideation Program. He also became a winner at the HKUST Student Team Award.

Ming Pao Daily News reported that two Business School fresh graduates and an Engineering School final-year student have jointly founded a company called Food With Benefits to produce fruit powder with vacuum freezing technology.
