Scholars found that individuals with creative personalities are proficient at divergent thinking and cognitive flexibility, which enhances their creative performances.

However, research showed a double-edged effect of creative personality on moral disengagement and unethical behaviors. Shedding light on the contrasting motivational mechanisms (i.e., competitive and prosocial motivation) and a situational contingency (i.e., competitive climate) that explains the pathway between creative personality and moral disengagement.

Showing that enterprises should cultivate staff’s prosocial motivation and stay vigilant on innovative development to attain long-lasting stability.
