Kellogg-HKUST EMBA Notches Up Top Spot for a Record of Ten Times (Oct 27)
, Mirage, together with other local dailies including HK Economic Times, ODN, Yahoo, Sing Tao Daily, Bastille Post, WWP, HK Commercial Daily reported the Kellogg-HKUST Executive MBA (KH EMBA) program has been ranked world’s No.1 in the Financial Times Global EMBA Rankings announced on Oct 26. This is the tenth time the program has achieved such accolade. Local media cited comments made by two alumni, Elsa WONG, Managing Director of NEC HK Ltd, and Thomas LIU, Partner of Actis, whom joined the school’s management in an online press briefing. They talked about their positive learning journeys and how they addressed challenges and created positive impact as a business leader. In response to application number this year, Program Director Judy Au said in the Financial Times that the program will not sacrifice the quality of students or compromise their learning experience for the sake of filling the classroom, adding that participants must fit the program’s ethos of “high impact, low ego”.
HKUST Launches DBA Program (15 Oct)
Ming Pao, HK Economic Times, HK01, HK Commercial Daily, DotNews, and Mirage reported on the launch of the new Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program at HKUST. This program is designed for leaders, senior executives and entrepreneurs to enhance their research capabilities and develop deep knowledge for positive business and societal impacts. These articles also mentioned other key features of the program, including its admission requirements, duration, fee, etc. An advertorial featuring the program was placed in SCMP and HK Economic Times.

Pandemic Hits Demand for Hong Kong Business Courses (Oct 29)
Financial Times reported that the Kellogg-HKUST EMBA program will postpone its starting date to next year. Founder and advisor to the program Prof. Steven DEKREY said the pandemic has “wreaked havoc” on enrolments and forced the program to postpone its start date to early next year. Such practice is also adopted by the EMBA program of the University of Hong Kong, according to the report.

They shared their thoughts on why they believed HK is still a good place for study.
