The new academic year marks the beginning of an exciting chapter for the HKUST Bilingual DBA Program. On September 1, the 2026 intake gathered at HKUST for its opening ceremony, bringing visionary business leaders together to begin a journey of learning and connection.
The ceremony was graced by senior management of HKUST, including President Prof. Nancy IP, Provost Prof. GUO Yike, and Vice-President (Research and Development) Prof. Tim CHENG. From the Business School, Dean Prof. Frederik ANSEEL and Academic Director of the Program Prof. LOU Dong were on hand to welcome the new cohort.
The celebration continued with a joyful welcome dinner and a special heritage ceremony, where representatives from the 2025 and 2026 intakes jointly unrolled a symbolic scroll, passing on the spirit of excellence. In that moment, the bonds formed laid the foundation for lasting friendships and shared aspirations.
The first course module delivered an enriching interdisciplinary experience, covering frontier research in finance, AI, and chip technology. Students gained deep insights into market regulation, digital finance, AI fundamentals, and semiconductor innovation. These learning experiences planted seeds for future growth, equipping students with knowledge and perspectives that will serve them well in the years ahead.
