The Executive Education Office has deepened its international reach by welcoming senior executives from business schools in Africa and Europe to engage with China’s fast-evolving business landscape.

In August, as part of a first-of-its-kind partnership with the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS), University of Pretoria, Prof XU Yan led an executive dialogue titled "China's Telecommunications Transformation and Its Strategic Implication for Vodacom and Africa" in Shenzhen in August. The closed-door session brought Vodacom’s Group CEO and C-suite leaders from across Africa to explore the forces reshaping China's telecommunications sector and digital economy. Building on this momentum, our Executive Education Office is in advanced discussions with GIBS to launch a General Management immersion program for African executives in 2027.

Meanwhile, more than 60 senior executives from over 25 countries participated in two runs of the Doing Business in China: Strategy and Innovation Program for the ESSEC Hybrid EMBA in May and September. In addition to lectures, the participants gained first-hand insights through immersive site visits to Yantian International Container Terminals, BYD, Huawei, SmartMore, Pudu Robotics and HONOR Device. Another group is expected to join the program in early 2028.
