Recent headlines spark debates about the global AI race, accountability and governance. These issues took center stage at the Hong Kong Chartered Governance Institute Corporate Governance Paper Competition & Presentation Awards 2026, themed “Is AI the make-or break for governance?”

We are thrilled to share that our students, Bhavneet KAUR (BBA in Professional Accounting and Management) and Preet KAUR (BBA in Professional Accounting) won both the Best Paper Award and the Best Presentation Award, demonstrating their thoughtful take on AI.

Congratulations also to Nancy WEN (BSc in Risk Management and Business Intelligence) pictured on the far right and Hanna XU (BSc in Economics and Finance) pictured on the far left, who earned the Merit Prize in both categories as part of a cross-university team, showcasing the spirit of collaboration beyond campus.

AI becomes embedded in organizational decision-making, transparency and human oversight matter more than ever. We are proud to see our students contribute thoughtful perspectives on trust and fairness in the age of AI.
