In the “Leading in the Age of AI: Strategies for Executives” seminar hosted by the Executive Education Office, over 80 senior executives from 54 leading companies gathered to explore the impact of AI on business.
As Generative AI rapidly transforms industries and leadership roles, the participants gained actionable insights to harness emerging opportunities while addressing key challenges with visionary content delivered by:
- Prof. Jack LAU, former President at Qatar Science and Technology Park, presented “From Fear to Fluency”, demystifying AI fundamentals and empowering leaders to overcome "AI anxiety" and build practical confidence.
- Prof. YANG Yi from the Department of Information Systems, Business Statistics and Operations Management, presented “Managing AI Risks” focusing on governance frameworks to mitigate risks and maximize strategic value.
- Ms. Akina HO, Board Advisor, Voltage X, presented “The Future of Work with AI”, highlighting AI’s role in revolutionizing recruitment, workforce augmentation, and organizational design.
The event culminated in an engaging panel discussion moderated by Associate Dean Prof. FONG Yuk-fai, exploring ethical AI governance and human-centric leadership in the AI economy.
