The BBA in Global Business (GBUS) Program hosted its flagship enrichment event, the HKUST Global Leadership Forum. Established in 2009, this annual forum brings together business leaders to share insights on emerging societal issues, fostering independent and critical thinking among students.

Officiated by the HKUST Business School Dean Prof. Frederik ANSEEL, the forum featured a keynote address by Ms. KWANG Kam Shing, CEO of J.P. Morgan. She shared insights on navigating geopolitics and technology, highlighting how AI integration enables entry-level professionals to prioritize high-value tasks. Ms. Kwang also emphasized scenario-based planning for geopolitical navigation and noted AI’s role in automating routine tasks to elevate strategic work.

In her keynote address, Ms. Kwang Kam Shing, CEO of J.P. Morgan, encouraged students to cultivate deep domain expertise while leveraging Hong Kong’s strategic bridging role.

An engaging panel discussion gave students first-hand perspectives on Ms. Kwang’s leadership experience, and she encouraged students to embrace continuous growth, take initiative, and commit to lifelong learning.

Sincere gratitude to Ms. Kwang for her invaluable contributions to the event. Our appreciation also goes to J.P. Morgan executives and our strong contingent of 12 GBUS-JPM alumni for their mentorship and engagement with our students. The event would not have been possible without the support and connections of Prof. Albert IP, Chairman of the University Foundation and Chairman of the Career Development Advisory Council of the Business School. With encouragement from all fronts, we will continue to provide platforms that serve as catalysts for student growth.
