The inaugural cohort of the Bilingual DBA Program gathered in the serene setting of Beijing’s Fragrant Hills to continue their learning journey. Developed through a partnership between HKUST Business School and Tsinghua University PBC School of Finance, the program focused on two cutting-edge fields: Frontiers in Finance Research, and Brain-Computer Interface and Neuromorphic Intelligence.

Moving beyond traditional classroom formats, the program enabled students to engage deeply with specialized theories and forward-looking perspectives through lively academic exchange, strengthening their research thinking and industry insight.

Led by Prof. YU Jianfeng from Tsinghua University, the finance segment addressed key topics such as cognitive biases in investment decisions and behavioral finance. Further insights were provided by distinguished scholars including Prof. NIE Qingping, Prof. YAN Xuetong, and Prof. LIU Jia. They connected finance with institutional reform, international relations, and AI development.

The Brain-Computer Interface and Neuromorphic Intelligence section featured leading experts including Prof. GAO Xiaorong, Prof. HONG Bo, Prof. LUO Minmin, and Prof. LI Wenyu. They presented the field’s scientific foundations, engineering advances, industry applications, and ecosystem trends.

This module deepened interdisciplinary learning at the intersection of theory and practice and quipped the cohort with emerging insights.
