From the launch of a new cohort to an alumni-student mixer, the Kellogg-HKUST EMBA community comes together to learn, connect, and lead across borders.
Welcoming KH29
Every year, the Kellogg-HKUST Executive MBA Program welcomes a new group of senior executives into its classroom. In 2026, the program introduced its 29th cohort - KH29 (Class of 2027), a class of 40 senior executives defined by seniority, diversity, and international reach. With an average age of 42, these students bring 18 years of experience and represent 17 nationalities.

While Hong Kong is home base, nearly half of the class travels in from cities around the world, making every conversation inherently global. KH29’s diversity extends beyond geography. Leaders from 18 industries have joined, spanning fields as varied as real estate, advertising, architecture, and medical services. This collective expertise offers perspectives that reach far beyond the expected.

The first week of the program brought the cohort into classes with Kellogg Prof. Nabil AL-NAJJAR and Loran NORDGREN, where they explored “Analytical Approach to Uncertainty” and “Leadership in Organizations.” Outside the classroom, ice-breakers, team challenges, and study groups sparked collaboration marked by curiosity, humility, and the rare “high-impact, low-ego” quality that makes teamwork thrive.
Over the next 18 months, the cohort will embark on a journey that is both demanding and deeply rewarding. They will be challenged to strengthen their leadership, sharpen their vision, and lead with purpose, bringing bold ideas and meaningful change to life.
Building Bonds Across Cohorts
The Kellogg-HKUST EMBA Executive Program gathered at the Hong Kong Club for a cocktail mixer that brought together alumni, students, and leadership in a vibrant evening of connection. The event was marked by the presence of Prof. Frederik ANSEEL, Dean of HKUST Business School, who met with alumni and members of the new KH29 cohort. His participation offered attendees the chance to hear his vision for the School and underscored the program’s commitment to fostering meaningful ties between leadership and its community.

For new students, the mixer provided an invaluable opportunity to meet alumni, share experiences and receive mentorship. Alumni, in turn, reconnected with peers and strengthened bonds across cohorts. The evening highlighted the enduring strength of the Kellogg-HKUST network, where past and present participants come together to support one another.
The mixer reflected the program’s spirit of collaboration and growth, reminding all in attendance that the Kellogg-HKUST EMBA community flourishes through connection and shared purpose.
