Prof. Veronique Lafon-Vinais, Program Co-Director of the BSc in Sustainable and Green Finance program, was honored with the bestowal of Chevalier de l'Ordre National du Mérite at the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau.

This prestigious distinction recognizes Prof. Lafon-Vinais’ significant contributions to sustainable development, dedicated efforts in strengthening collaboration between France and Hong Kong, and leadership in nurturing the next generation of green finance talent. Through innovative curriculum development, close engagement with industry, and a strong emphasis on global perspectives, she has played a pivotal role in equipping students with the expertise and ethical standards needed to advance sustainable and green finance.

Reflecting on the recognition, Prof. Lafon‑Vinais emphasized that the award “is not mine alone, but rather reflects the collective efforts of my colleagues over the past couple of decades in advancing the agenda for sustainable development and the rise of sustainable and green finance.” She added, “I am proud of the many interdisciplinary achievements of our University.”
