AmCham’s Women Champion of Disadvantaged Groups of Minorities

Dr. Kanie SIU (MBA alumna), CEO of Plan International Hong Kong, has received AmCham’s Women Champion of Disadvantaged Groups of Minorities for her longstanding advocacy for children.

This award recognizes a woman committed to building sustainable and resilient systems that support Hong Kong’s most at-risk communities—particularly minorities and disadvantaged groups who are often overlooked. For more than two decades, Dr. Siu has been a tireless champion for child safeguarding and girls’ rights in Hong Kong, addressing critical issues such as child abuse and sexual violence with measurable, lifechanging outcomes. Dr. Siu shared that the award belongs to “the courageous children who speak out about their challenges and the girls who pursue equality with determination.”

Jess CHENG (BBA alumna), Cofounder & Head of Hong Kong at CHARGESPOT, was named a winner of Harper’s BAZAAR Visionary Women Awards 2025. Through building inclusive urban infrastructure that supports everyday connectivity, Jess has demonstrated how innovation can strengthen communities and reshape urban living.
