IBM invited university innovators to reimagine the future through its AI Creative Challenge, offering participants the opportunity to receive an offer from IBM Consulting. The challenge tasked teams with redefining the fan and consumer experience through innovative AI solutions.

In the first round, teams were required to submit a short video proposal focusing on either Fan Experience or Next-Gen Entertainment. A team of four undergraduate students, who focused on the Next-Gen Entertainment track, emerged as one of the winners. Their idea reimagines entertainment by transforming traditional media into an immersive, interactive VR journey delivered through a B2C platform. The team members are:

  • JIN Xiaoxuan — BBA in World Bachelor of Business, Year 4
  • Matthew LEE — BBA in Global Business & Marketing, Year 3
  • LEUNG Ching Ching — BBA in Global Business & Marketing, Year 3
  • Thien ZHI — BEng in Computer Engineering, Minor in Business, Year 4

Following the initial round, the team was selected as one of six finalist teams and invited to present their ideas at the Art of Intelligence Forum, held at the Hong Kong Palace Museum. Their solution ultimately placed them among the top three winning teams, with all finalists receiving offers to join the IBM Consulting Associates Program.

From concept to prototype, the team filmed a pitch video, built a functioning solution, and presented their vision at the iconic Hong Kong Palace Museum.
