Three SBM Faculty Members Honored with Named Professorships
We take great pride in sharing that three distinguished faculty members from the Business School are among seven scholars appointed to Named Professorships by the University.

Established through the generous donations of individuals and corporations, HKUST Named Professorships recognize outstanding academic and research achievements of faculty. Our heartfelt congratulations go to Prof. LI Yingying of the Department of Information Systems, Business Statistics and Operations Management and the Department of Finance, named Fung Term Professor of Business; Prof. Dong LOU of the Department of Finance, named Citi Professor of Business; and Prof. Pavel ZHELYAZKOV of the Department of Management, named Dr Chung Sze-Yuen Associate Professor of Business. Prof. Garvin Percy DIAS Earns Renewed Honor from ISACA
Prof. Garvin Percy Dias of the Department of Information Systems, Business Statistics and Operations Management has received the Commitment and Dedicated-Service Award from the China Hong Kong Chapter of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA). ISACA is a global professional association and learning organization with 185,000 members in digital trust fields. Back in 2017, Prof. Dias also received the IT Governance Achievement Award in Public Sector - Merit award from ISACA China Hong Kong Chapter, their first-ever IT Governance Achievement.

Prof. Allen HUANG Takes Up Key Role in Stablecoin Oversight
Prof. Allen Huang, Head of the Department of Accounting, has been appointed a panel member of the newly established Stablecoin Review Tribunal under the Stablecoins Ordinance. With government-appointed members, the Tribunal plays an important role in supporting Hong Kong’s regulatory framework for digital assets by reviewing specified decisions made by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority. Join us in congratulating Prof. Huang on this appointment and his impact on Hong Kong’s digital asset development.

Prof. WANG Danqing Appointed to JIBS Editorial Board
The Journal of International Business Studies (JIBS) publishes high-impact research that advances the theoretical foundations of business and management. Prof. Wang Danqing of the Department of Management has been appointed to the JIBS Editorial Board, which is a recognition of her scholarly contributions to the field.
