In September, HKUST Business School and Tsinghua University PBC School of Finance welcomed the first cohort of the Bilingual DBA program. The cohort comprises top entrepreneurs and senior executives from AI, fintech, smart manufacturing, and healthcare, with an average of over 20 years of management experience and representing enterprises worth trillions of RMB.

At the ceremony, speeches were delivered by Prof. TAM Kar Yan, HKUST Vice-President for Administration & Business ; Prof. HUI Kai-Lung, Acting Dean of HKUST Business School; and Prof. JIAO Jie, Dean of the Tsinghua University PBC School of Finance. They highlighted the program’s mission to cultivate industry leaders with both Chinese roots and a global perspective while promoting the deep integration of technology and business. The event was highlighted by a keynote speech from Prof. Tim CHENG, HKUST Vice-President for Research and Development.

The cohort started their first module “Global Transformations: Geopolitics, Macroeconomy, and International Finance” led by renowned scholars including Prof. JIN Keyu and Prof. LOU Dong from HKUST Business School, while HKUST President Prof. Nancy IP also visited the class to offer her encouragement and support to the students. Leveraging top-tier resources, the program aims to develop globally minded, innovative business leaders, marking a new stage in cross-regional talent cultivation.
