The faculty orientation session not only offered the new appointees an unparalleled networking opportunity, but also helped them integrate into the dynamic School environment. Through the introduction to the School’s contribution in the startup ecosystem of the University, discussions on balancing research, teaching and postgraduate student supervision, as well as a teaching workshop and panel discussions, the new research and teaching staff had a taste of various aspects of academic life in HKUST. Our senior management also hosted a delightful lunch to exchange with the new faculty members.
