Prof. Lucy XIA of the Department of Information Systems, Business Statistics and Operations Management has been named an Elected Member of the International Statistical Institute (ISI), recognizing her contributions to the field of statistics. The ISI elected membership is a prestigious acknowledgment among the global statistical community, reflecting a commitment to advancing the theory and application of statistics.
In addition, Prof. Xia has been appointed an Associate Editor for the Journal of the American Statistical Association and for the American Statistician, for a term spanning 2026-28. This role involves overseeing the editorial process and ensuring the publication of high-quality, impactful review articles that synthesize and evaluate emerging statistical methodologies and applications.
