The HKUST EMBA Alumni Association hosted an engaging Spring Gathering series across six vibrant cities, attracting over 300 alumni. In each city, the event saw a blend of valuable insights, cultural richness, and alumni connections, fostering strong ties across various industries. Special thanks to all the leading members of the six Alumni Regional Chapters, whose dedication contributed to the success of the events.


In Hong Kong, the alumni gathering series commenced with a lively banquet graced by HKUST Honorary Fellow Dr. Samuel YUNG Wing-Ki, GBS, MH, JP, former HKUST President Prof. SHYY Wei, HKUST Vice-President for Research and Development Prof. Tim CHENG, HKUST Business School Acting Dean Prof. HUI Kai-Lung, Associate Dean Prof. FONG Yuk Fai, and Prof. XU Yan from the Department of Information Systems, Business Statistics and Operations Management.


The Shenzhen gathering featured a captivating keynote by Prof. HUI Xiong, focusing on AI’s global impact.


Shanghai saw an open talk by Prof. Kasper NIELSEN, followed by a mixed banquet among EMBA, MBA, and MSc alumni.


In Hangzhou, alumni participated in the exciting launch of the Zhejiang Alumni Chapter's new hub and visits to companies in the city, such as Alibaba Group and Manycore Tech Inc.


In Suzhou, the alumni had the opportunity to explore alumnus Pan Yi's innovative industrial robotics firm.


A delightful calligraphy workshop was held in the Nanjing gathering.
