On November 18, the Business School hosted the event “Beyond the Memo: A Fireside Chat between Howard Marks and HKUST Business School Students”, providing a unique enrichment and learning opportunity for students to broaden their horizons and expand their knowledge.


Moderated by Mr. Ronald CHAN (first left), Chairman of Chartwell Capital, the fireside chat saw the participation of a full house of enthusiastic business students. Four undergraduate and postgraduate students, including Saurabh PANNALA (second left) and You Na PARK (MBA program) (third left), William HUNG (BBA in Global Business) (first right), and Chiara TRIOLO (World Bachelor in Business program) (second right), engaged in an interactive dialogue with Mr. Howard MARKS (third right), Co-Chairman of Oaktree Capital Management.

During the event, Mr. Marks generously shared his experience in pursuing a fruitful career and insights into his investment philosophy.
