Led by Prof. FONG Yuk Fai, Associate Dean of HKUST Business School, a group of over 50 students and alumni from HKUST EMBA, Kellogg-HKUST EMBA and MBA programs successfully completed the 19th Xuanzang Road Business School Gobi Challenge at Dunhuang, China. Congratulations!
With the last member crossing the finishing line, the moment signified the victorious completion of the 121-kilometer journey through deserts, canyons, and clear springs, overcoming fatigue and pain. Under the waving HKUST flag, the teams, adorned with garlands, excitedly celebrated their collective triumph.
After a year-long preparation including six training sessions, the teams’ perseverance and dedication bore fruit. Both our EMBA and MBA teams achieved remarkable results winning the Shackleton Award, the Succession Excellence Award, and the Double Stars Sparkling Award. In addition, the promotional video created for this event won the Gobi Golden Award for the Most Creative Video Award. The success is a testament to the dedicated efforts of the leaders, captains, and team members, with relentless support from alumni, classmates, training partners, and the logistics team.
