The Executive Education Office has recently launched two programs for local and mainland participants to seize opportunities and reach full potential in their fields.

Digital Transformation for HKSAR Government Officers


In August, 45 senior government officers from eight bureaus and departments participated in the fourth cohort of the Digital Transformation Program for HKSAR Government Officers. The program addressed a variety of topics, including Overview of the Digital Transformation and Disruptive Innovation by Prof. Simon AU YEUNG, Overview of Big Data & Artificial Intelligence by Prof. Jean WANG, Digital Mindset by Prof. KOH Tat Koon, Leverage Social Media on Public Good by Prof. HONG Jiewen, and Compliance Essentials in Digital Transformation by Prof. Henry CHANG. Additionally, Prof. HONG Weiyin delivered a talk on Cybersecurity and its importance in today’s digital landscape.


Putting their learning into application, the participants brainstormed about the creative applications of emerging technologies, culminating in final presentations. They highly recommended this practical and engaging program to their colleagues. The next cohort is scheduled for January 2025.


In Collaboration with Tencent for Decision-Making Bootcamp

In September, the two-day program on Managerial Decision Making and Leadership for Tencent's Decision-Making Bootcamp (騰訊諮詢《決策思考》訓練營)was held in Shenzhen, and participated by 44 senior Chinese executives from Distinct Healthcare, moodytiger, Yangteng Innovation, Waterdrop Inc. and Zhuanzhuan.


During the program, Prof. Caroline WANG led discussions on leadership essentials and the traps in decision-making, and introduced her unique Decision-Making Framework consisting of quality decision content and quality decision-making process. Through case discussions and role plays, participants polished their skills in making quality decisions to achieve organizational goals, and implementing management decisions. Participants also had the opportunity to apply their newly acquired knowledge and the Decision-Making Framework in real-life situations. Another two cohorts are scheduled in Q4 2024 and Q1 2025.
