The Roger King Center for Asian Family Business and Family Office successfully conducted its signature program module “HKUST Global Family Leader Succession Program: Single Family Office – The Powerful Tool for Succession”.
The program has attracted family business and single family office owners, along with their family members and executives in the Asia-Pacific region, showcasing a balanced representation across three generations.
World-class family office scholars joined hands with prominent family business and single family office experts to form a distinguished faculty and speaker team. The program provided original research and case studies that addressed the practical challenges faced by Asian family businesses and family offices. Topics covered included family values, new money vs. old money, impact investing, family philanthropy, professionals in family offices and art collection.
The program received overwhelmingly positive feedback from participants. They described it as practical, useful, and filled with valuable insights. The discussions were inspiring and applicable to both personal and professional life.
One of the participants - a second-generation member of a single family office remarked, “This is an amazing learning journey with families together, to get a comprehensive and up-to-date understanding of the single family office. It explores how professionals and family members can work together to preserve family wealth, family harmony, and family legacy.”
