The Executive Education Office of the Business School, in collaboration with the Hong Kong Green Finance Association (HKGFA), successfully launched the fourth run of the Certificate in Sustainable Finance program. This six-modular program was designed to address the pressing global issue of climate change and support the Hong Kong SAR Government’s drive to develop ESG talent capacity. It equipped professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the evolving landscape of sustainable and green finance in Asia.
The program took place on three Saturdays at Business School Central, where a group of 34 participants, mostly from the banking and finance sectors. They were engaged in inspiring classes and dialogues led by HKUST faculty and industry experts, covering topics such as regulatory landscape, sustainable financing products, ESG integration, and climate risk management to achieve net zero targets. To conclude the program, a networking drink session was arranged for the celebration of program completion after class.
The next cohort will take place in November 2024. Professionals from financial institutions, corporates across various sectors, and individuals interested in sustainability, ESG, and investing are welcome to enroll to enhance their expertise and contribute to a sustainable future.
