In an effort to promote research and knowledge exchange to enhance Hong Kong’s capabilities in green finance, the HKUST Green Finance Research Project has launched a thematic website to feature the theme-based research project, entitled “Developing Hong Kong as a Global Green Finance Centre”, supported by the Research Grants Council (RGC) of the Hong Kong Government.
The project, spearheaded by HKUST, is an interdisciplinary and cross-institutional collaboration that brings together scholars in finance, environmental science, public policy, and technology, as well as former policymakers and experienced practitioners to address fundamental areas. It underpins the growth and success of the green finance sector in Hong Kong. The newly launched online platform enables industry participants, researchers, students, and the general public to learn about the research highlights, industry insights, practical tools, and events developed by the project.
With the vision to create significant societal impacts and drive the sustainable growth of green finance in Hong Kong, the project team has been actively collaborating with government bodies, industry partners, and professional institutions locally and overseas to organize a diverse array of engagement and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
