To help students navigate the latest developments and career opportunities in the dynamic green finance and green fintech sector, the Fintech and Green Finance Projects of HKUST Business School, in collaboration with the Hong Kong Institute of Bankers (HKIB) and the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), organized the seminar “Unveiling the Secrets of Green Fintech in Banking” on March 6. The seminar successfully concluded with active responses from the students.

Mr. Philip KAM (top right), Chief Institute Development Officer of HKIB, engaged students with his insightful sharing on the current and future development of the banking industry and introduced some relevant training programs for students interested in entering the banking industry. The event also featured Mr. Keith LEUNG (bottom right), Senior Vice President, Corporate Banking, Institutional Banking Group of DBS Bank (HK) Ltd, and a proud alumnus of HKUST Business School. He discussed various topics, including the green fintech ecosystem, future skillsets in demand, his career journey across the bank in Hong Kong and Singapore, and green fintech solutions that address ESG data in supply chain finance. The expert insights provided a wealth of knowledge for students to better understand and prepare for careers in the green fintech and banking industries.
