Professor SHIN Dongwook (second left) from the Department of Information Systems, Business Statistics, and Operations Management received the Best Cluster Paper Award (Service Science Section) at the INFORMS Annual Meeting held in Phoenix, the US.

The award committee has bestowed first place on Prof. Shin’s paper. Co-authored with Professor Bharadwaj KADIYALA from the University of Utah, the paper “Social Learning with Polarized Preferences on Content Platforms” suggests when the benefits of social learning are merited and provides normative guidance for quality management on content platforms.

Since 2013, this award has been given to well-deserving scholars who make significant contributions to the field of Service Science. This highly competitive award is based on the best papers submitted to the Service Science Section at the INFORMS Annual Meeting.
