The 2021 Deloitte Hong Kong Technology Fast & Rising Star award ceremony was successfully held on December 15. Once again, we were honored to be the sole Official Knowledge Partner of this prestigious award.
The award celebrates the fastest growing and most innovative enterprises in Hong Kong. Winners included startups formed by our alumni and represented a new driving force for the local innovation and technology landscape.
During the ceremony, Professor ZHENG Yanfeng, Associate Professor of the Department of Management, who also served as the Professional Editor of the Research Report “Rekindling Hong Kong’s Economic Growth Through Innovation”, and shared his research findings regarding Hong Kong’s innovation ecosystem.
Building on this research, 153 Hong Kong-based entrepreneurs and executives for start-ups and 1,382 local university students participated in a subsequent survey. The survey also featured in-depth interviews with key opinion leaders in the innovation and entrepreneurship sphere, including government leaders, academics, venture capital executives, and entrepreneurs.
According to the report, multiple stakeholders have made encouraging efforts to help foster a thriving innovation and technology (I&T) ecosystem in Hong Kong. Moving forward, integrating Hong Kong’s I&T sector with the Greater Bay Area would be a key catalyst for substantial growth.
