Awarded by: The Franklin Prize
Six faculty members were presented with Franklin Prizes this year on 15 June in recognition of their outstanding performance in pursuing teaching excellence. The Department of Management received its fifth departmental award. The Franklin Prize was established in 2001 and its donor Professor Franklin Laurence was on hand to present the plaques to all awardees and nominees.

In recognition of teaching excellence among faculty, a list of nominees and winners will be evaluated and selected by the School Appointments and Substantiation Committee (SASC) every year.
On the same occasion, Professor Shu Ming Ng (Information Systems, Business Statistics & Operations Management) was presented the Dean’s Faculty Service Award by Professor Jitendra Singh, Dean of the HKUST Business School, for his valuable contribution in the development of three highly successful academic programs at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
