Prof Zhang’s paper - "Impact of Wikipedia on Market Information Environment: Evidence on Management Disclosure and Investor Reaction” is named the “MISQ Paper of the Year”. The paper explains how Wikipedia can improve the information environment in the financial market and underscore the value of information aggregation through the use of information technology. HKUST’s Research Proposal Competition (RPC) funding and RGC’s GRF funding supported this work. Prof. Zhang presented this paper to an audience of managers in one of the Business Insight Talks in 2013.
