Awarded by: Journal of Science and Technology Policy in China

A paper analyzing Hong Kong’s technology and innovation policy has been selected the Outstanding Paper of 2013 by the editorial team of the Journal of Science and Technology Policy in China.

The paper by Prof Yan Xu, Associate Dean of the School and Associate Professor in ISOM and his student Calvin Yu is titled “Strengths and weaknesses of Hong Kong’s technology and innovation industry with reference to the extended open innovation model”. They propose and make creative use of this model to develop a framework that could also be applied to analyzing policy in other economies.

The publishers of the journal, Emerald Group Publishing Ltd, will make the paper available for free for one year to promote dissemination of its findings.
